Visit the Livingstone Family Church, Hamilton
David Livingstone was brought up in St. James Congregational Church, Hamilton. In 1966 that church closed and merged with another Congregational Church in Hamilton, of which Livingstone’s parents were founder members. In April 2000 that combined Church became part of the United Reformed Church.
To mark the Bicentenary of the birth of the congregation’s most famous son, the Church will be open for visitors to see the Livingstone memorabilia on the first Wednesday of each month from February to July 2013; or at other mutually convenient times. However it is essential that you confirm your wish to visit. Please use the contact form on the title page of this Website.
